What is the essay asking you to do, compare/contrast/critique/discuss their influence/impact on education?

They're applied all day long! Just blab on about how they achieve different stages of Piagets theories at different stages....go on about how if they don't have 'TOM' then they obviously can't grasp a lot of everyday knowledge, they are ego-centric until TOM occurs. Maths is an easy one to talk about when referring to Piaget, as he believes Children are liek mini adults, just not logical enough at early ages to grasp things.
Then when you talk about Vygotsky just blab on about how social situations, family, culture, all that, has an effect on children and how they learn, then go on to say about childrens different learning strategies.
Remember to say a good bit about Learning Through Play in the early years

Thats harsh making you apply it to 9-12 only, especially when you're doing Montessori, as it won't affect you at all in your career.
have to bring in piaget, vygotsky and bruner
I might be looking at this wrong for your essay but could you do something around scaffolding the work based on the child's capabilities
You could take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zone_of_Proximal_Development as a start point

Montessori does go up to twelve and we can teach in private primary schools.... Montessori is a method of teaching children, it is not confined to the preschool classsroom!!! Still searching for this essay, cant get myself to start writing!

Possibly gone a bit mad but what about doing a bit on embedding teaching for children who have english as a second language? I'd search up the cummins framework and there is loads of stuff from england. It is cognitive but not as much emphasis on the developmental
