    Is the outer barrel metal?

Also you will need it to extend past the front of the slide for the threads to

be of any use to you.....your better off buying a threaded outer barrel online

which is extended to take a silencer etc

You'd want to make sure your teacher knows its for a toy gun rather than a real one.

Are you threading the barrel on the inside or the outside? Standard silencers are 14mm CCW thread (i.e. threaded on the outside), however some pistols (i.e. the Maruzen P99 NBB) are threaded on the inside. If the barrel is metal then it should be easy enough to do (although you may need to turn the barrel down a bitn on a lathe where you intend to thread it), but even at that, you'd have to make sure there is enough barrel forward of the slide to thread a silencer on.

Personally I'd just buy a new inner barrel that is already threaded and save the hassle.

G&G do the best one ive seen so far, the threaded piece is removable so ya dont have to have it sticking out when your not using the silencer.,
I got the king arms one from ehobby myself and its decent quality.,

dont bother lad, the monkey metal in airsoft guns, whilst easy to tap, the threading will not be strong enough to support the weigth of the silencer.

i got a steel G&P one for about €30 from unco. its as good as youre goin to get, bit of a cúnt if youre trying to sand it silver due to the pitting.
