i,m curently with 'sly', but if there was any other way of getting the rte channels i would probably go for it. i,m working with a tm 1000d stb on a motor system at the moment alsoand am getting all the channels i want. in this country' nearly everybody depends on 'sly' for rte which i think is shi**.

presumably you are with sky. you can get rte via a terrestrial aerial but it isn't available outside of sky on satellite.

Only around 33% of the population get RTÉ via Sky. A good proportion but a long way off nearly everybody

have you tried an aerial? you might even be able to get RTE in digital, depending on what part you're in

thanks for the quick replys. i too am like a lot of people and agree that once 'sly' sign you up they forget about you and don,t dream of offering you any deals. bad form. also their not cheap. it,s 160e for the license and 30 per month by 12 is a lot of money per year.

I think what you said is ****. Granted RTÉ is not available everywhere terrestrially but nearly everyone in this country?

Also I can see that you have hillaroiusly used sly instead of Sky. What have Sky done to warrant that? None of what you listed is out of the ordinary for any company and were you forced to sign up at gun point?

The television license is not for watching television but for owning one.
