For me, it has to be Zarkava.

On her first race over 1m4f, she stayed in the stalls and gave G1 company 6 lengths start and won easy. Then, the Arc, where she destroyed older, and excellent horses like Duke Of Marmalade.

Gutted that she's gone to stud. We may never see her type again.

    You thoughts?

Difficult to argue with that. However if Curlin wins the Breeders Cup Classic for the second time he would also have claims to be Horse of the Year.

Zarkava for me, a truly marvellous filly

Massive Duke of Marmalade fan but in terms of a horse of the year it has to be the Aga Khan's wonder filly

New Approach wasn't too shabby either. Set the course record today at the Champion Stakes along with a Juddmonte and Derby.

Curlin if he wins the breeders cup as said above.
If not a tie between the Duke after what he has achieved this year after the injury and Zarkava a superstar filly
