The internet is a lazy place

Always stood by my belief that in its own little bubble the internet is a lazy unproductive force when it comes to matters of protest and unity.

it takes the constant injection of reality to actually make the internet anyway productive in these matters.

So it is I present my subject that reminds me of the truth of this statement:

    http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4110666657

Over 50 000 members and its got to be less then 100 of them actually doing their part in the event.

now before someone goes at me about being cruel and that its such a good cause (as I already had on facebook) I have nothing against the cause, I infact support the cause very much so.

but my experiance from the largest internet protests to the smallest gatherings is that support never comes through unless you ground it with some physical event or action in the physical world.

    discuss.

Seems like people just join the group to look like they're really 'right-on', maybe they do care, but not enough to put it into action in real life. Basically the internet is the home of 'All Talk, and No Action', which is why you get people hurling out insults at strangers which they would never do in reality. Or in this case, talking about issues that they don't really care enough about to anything about in real life.
