guys have a question on clustering

we had two windows 2000 advanced servers (file1 & file2)running on a Cluster with a SAN

yesterday we removed file2 from the cluster in cluster admin and took file2 offline and rebuilt it as a 2003 enterprise server.so file1 is the cluster manager.

anyone know how to join the new 2003 box to the cluster or do i need to create a new cluster, use file2 as the cluster manager and rebuild file1 as a 20023 machine and join it to the cluster?

This might help. As always, make sure you have a full backup of the included systems.

once you have rebuilt the cluster, run cluster administrator and choose to join an existing cluster.

you have changed the operating system and AFAIK you cannot cluster two machines on different operating system versions.

    Sorry,
