4 day week question

    Hiya

I see some queries about working hours being reduced to a 3-day week, but none about a 4-day week.

My company recently cut everyone's hours by 20%.

Am I entitled to claim Jobseekers Allowance?
    I was working Mon-Fri, now it's Mon-Thurs.

The Dept.Soc.Welfare website is very vague...and only gives examples of a 3-day week.

    Any ideas?

I phoned the Dole Office yesterday, finally got through after about an hour trying. They said a person has to be put on a 3-day week in order to claim Jobseekers Benefit.

It seems one day off work per week is not enough....
