The 147's replacement is looking pretty good:

Strong hints of the FIAT Bravo around the hind-quarters and a MiTo nose.

It's really hard to know at this stage but I don't think it's as pretty as the 147 was at launch...

    I really like it.

How anyone would go and fork out for an A3 instead is beyond me. How boring (apart from the hot versions of course).

This is from autoexpress, so I'd assume those are madey-uppey photos until Alfa releases some.

No, it's quite close to launch, I'd say it's offical...

Me too. I've never liked 4 doors in a small car and I don't like this 149 either.

Anyone else think the profile from the rear looks like a Quashqui, but for a smaller gent? No? Just me then.

    Much prefer the older styling

I really like it. Rear end is like the Brava, but the front looks like it's based on the 8C sports car, which can only be a good thing.

    The front is horrid
    The back is Stilo/Bravo.
Not a nice looking car at all

It uses the Fiat Bravo/Lancia Delta platform so it should be front wheel drive. The 1.4 litre turbo Fiat T-Jet engine is also supposed to be fitted.

Looks like someones beaten up a Stilo.

I like the look from the front. The back/side looks very FIAT bravo. Compared to the other cars in this segment I would love one if the build quality can come up to expected standards.

Not really. Its got the same stance the stilo had, as in the high and wider backend but its more bravo than anything. I think its very nice but at the moment its looking a bit high and hard to tell from those shots. I'm not so sure on the front.. It worked for the 8c but thats a totally different car to the Mi.to and 149.

Looks like the bastard son of a Subaru Tribecca and a SEAT leon.

Maybe a few too many curves but I still like it

This is the official new Alfa Romeo 149

As I said earlier, I'll believe it when Alfa release the non-photoshopped pics.

The handles on both images above are different & the rear handles are in different positions. It is a less elegant/more boxy take on the 147 with modeo lights to the rear. The wing mirrors are MASSIVE. I love the small shapely wing mirrors on my 147...

I will be very disapointed if this is the 149
