Is Chomsky a government puppet

Ok...I don't want this to be appear to be a character assisination on someone who at 79, having written some of the greatest political analyses ever, deserves some respect.

    However...

Chomsky dismisses any possibility that 911 was in some way orchestrated. Now I happen to agree that they didn't set it up themselves But is there not reason to believe that the US government didn't "let" it happen, ie they knew it was coming but decisively ignored it? Because thats what comes out through retrospects of the preceding events.

There are other theories Chomsky dismisses. I've read some of the arguments on google. One appears as a strawman argument, claiming Chomsky doesn't analyse this or that, but he can hardly talk about everything. His philosophy is scientific rationalism, hes not going to spout on about something he doesn't know. You might as well apply the same reasoning as to why he doesn't talk about NI.

However, two things which stood out in my google searches. On one there is a blog of this dude who had correspondences with Chomsky, saying that Chomsky responded to his queries on the veracity of the Warren Report on JFK with great interest but never actually getting back to him, before going on record as dismissing the theory in the mainstream media. Exact same situation with the AIDs theory. In the first situation Chomsky had actually researched the JFK assisination in the 1960s and so more than likely arrived at some conclusions. So why would he state that he was greatly interested in the theory from this correspondence if he had already made up his mind that theory was bs?

Secondly Chomsky criticizes tax havens yet he has invested in the TIAA CREF trust fund.

Now I think these sources could be very unreliable as its very easy to take things out of context. I don't see Chomsky as a demigod

    Heres the trust fund article

    The correspondences one

I'm of two minds on this whole NWO idea. On the one hand its not so far off with massive corporations acting in unison with governments and vice versa. That to me sounds like a NWO in existence already. So wouldn't it make sense to extend control, to set up left wing gatekeepers to control the way the opposition thinks? To give the illusion of choice and liberation? If the media is so controlled as Chomsky purports how did he rise to such acclaim. Why does he give massively publicized lectures if he represents such a threat to the elites?

On the other hand I think the world is a disorganized mess of competing interests. There is no mega conspiracy, that every sector of society is highly infiltrated. Its just a back and forth tug of war between powers, with new ones coming into existence and a struggle for general improvement in rights etc against competing interest of institutions.

So what do you think of Chomsky? I think for the most part he's an intellectual genius and a proponent of reform in many area.
Are all these CTs, including those on Chomsky the produce of seed CTs way back and which are introduced as a viral disinformation campaign to destroy trust and inculcate fear? Who do you believe? Is it really a Mulder and Scully situation of trust no one? How did the X Files get made if some of these theories are true? Where does the line end?

That just makes him a hypocrite not a government stooge.
