Im looking for a laptop for a present.

Terms of budget I was looking for something around €300-€400. The cheaper the better.
It will be used for internet, email and word processing.
I seen this. Seems ok. Dont understand specs on a computer at all.
Also had a quick search through the web but cant find anything. Will be heading up north if anyone know any deals up there.
    Thanks

Not too bad, but you'd definitely need another gb of ram from the likes of www.memoryc.ie - vista and 1gb of Ram do not get by so well.

For the tasks you've described, even the cheapest laptop is fine, but again, insufficient ram will really drive you crazy with Vista.

Check out something like this, virtually the same price but a faster, dual core processor and 2gb of ram as standard. The trade off is a smaller hard drive but to be honest on a machine for those uses it makes zero difference whereas the other aspects do.

That one looks good but is sold out.

    How about this one?
