    Helllooo,

I need to invest in a new digital camera. I'm by no means a photography expert and am just looking for a point and shoot jobby. Size is very important to me, as in SMALL is good. Heard good things about the Samsung NV100 HD. Has anyone heard anything about this?

    Thanks!

It seems to have only just been released & so cannot see any reviews for it yet.

My impressions from looking at the specs are that it seems to have some nice features for a P&S & the touch screen would be nice, in a gadget sort of way. The 14.7MP sensor seems to be way OTT & is just a marketing ploy. 8MPto10MP would seem more than adequate for a model like this but I guess it gives the Sales Jockey's who know little about Photography a big number to impress the punters.

So it comes down to price, how much is a Samsung NV100 HD selling for?

I have it at around the GBP£160 -£180 mark. It's just a lovely slim camera, the closest to it is a sony model which bumps right up to £240. Would generally be a canon kinda girl but the current ixus they have out at the moment seem so bulky compared to this little nymph. At the end of the day I want a camera that will fit into a small hand bag that I can bring out with me.
