STRDG820 sound output

Hi Lads, Ladettes, I'm planning on buying this from RS in the next day or 2, with speakers. Can anyone confirm that if I put a scart from an NTL box into the 820, along with ps3 etc, and connect the 820 to the tv using hdmi, will I be able to get sound? Does the NTL sound travel via the hdmi cable? Thanks

You should check with richersounds, but I'm pretty sure it won't do this for you. The audio from the NTL box is analogue and I wouldn't expect it to be output as a digital signal by the av receiver.
