Digital Camcorder (warning)

    Yo,
Thought I'd let ye know of something.

Mate got a digital camcorder with a hard drive* in it. If the camera senses that it's falling, the camera automatically shuts down the hard drive to stop any damage to the hard drive when it hits the ground.

So what, you say? Well, if the music you're recording is loud, the vibrations of said music may make the camera shut itself off.

Said camera kept shutting off whilst I was filming a mates (metal) gig. Wasn't the happiest. Battery was full. Only found out about the vibrations thing when my mate sent the camera off to get tested, and it seems the camera was ok, but it shut itself off due to the vibrations.

Mates going to get a refund, but thought I'd let ye know about it, in case anyone is thinking of getting a digital camera with a hard drive in it.

*by hard drive, I meant one whose insides spin, as opposed to flash memory.
