got these in either tesco or dunnes in limerick city in the last couple of weeks. See that their best before date was may. Taking the piss a bit. One or both of them is selling a lot of food past its best before date.
Not sure whether to look for the receipt and complain, throw them out, or eat them...are refried pinto beans, salsa, or corn chips dangerous to eat at any stage? (one of those kits you put in the oven)

Ah, just eat 'em. You won't die. Complaining or bringing them back will involve having to get up off yer arse. nyom, nyom, nyom

as long as it isnt gone mouldy its pretty much safe to eat.

Sure the best before date is the average time a certain food turns mouldy or goes off so as long as it smells and tastes ok then eat away nothing will happen

It's actually the amount of time it takes to go stale, and then another good deal of time after that, it's a surefire way to cover their arse from people getting sick.

And of course, it also encourages ya to buy things more regularly too, that applies if you don't eat food past the date they tell ya.

My rule, eat now, die later.

Eat up. There's a difference between 'best before" date and "Eat by" date. They won't kill you but they won't be as good as they could be.
