soo have been tracking a package online.......

Had a package sent from Hong Kong, that went from Hong Kong to
Shannon airport in 2 Days which was great! It got an arrival and import scan
and it was down as being in Transit since 7:56 Yesterday morning.
The Thing goes half was across the world in speedy time it hits Ireland
and things grind to a standstill.

The UPS delivery man where I work delivered yesterday and today
but no package for me!!!
Got his mobile number rang him, he was not very helpful and sounded grumpy
and did not want to know. He just said he didnt have it and track it online.

Rang UPS got transferred around a bit, and at last got a friendly voice.
They dont know where package is! and were going to check with the driver.
They said nothing appeared on their system regarding fees/customs etc
so waiting on them to ring me back.

Really really annoying! Did not go for breakfast or Lunch yesterday and today
thinking that there may have been fees to pay on delivery and that I may have
missed a call or the delivery man.

In Transit means moving within the UPS network, I'm guessing as its already
gone past an Import scan there there are no custom's issues. Wonder where the heck
    it could have disappeared to.

This happened to me once before. I was waiting for 3 months. Final result, it was in "The Park" for testing....

At least they are following it up for me anyway got a call from them a min ago,
the girl I spoke to sounds efficient and thorough which is always nice.
They said they will check the warehouse in Shannon to see if its
still there and may have been missed. On the phone they said from
the scans it would have been past customs.

I shudder at the thoughts of getting something sent to the park for testing.
eg: You get an ABS pistol thats designed to accept 134a and NOT propane/greengas
and they cause damage to it buy using the wrong gas who pays for the damages etc.
or the test something incorrectly and cause damage to your property etc, they fire
something with the wrong voltage battery or cause a gearbox lock up....all these
    thoughts run through my head.

When I got my nice expensive star AW338 which was downgraded I was worried
it would be tested and damaged. (It arrived slightly damaged and missing a scope)

Don't get me started on ups bullets! I had a a package coming from wgc, mid august i'd say. It's a ksc full metal beretta, same as u tracked it all the way and then when it got to cork it came up as being delivered to a private residence, which wasn't mine. Turned out it went to customs but they just weren't interested when i was trying to find out what the story was (still in the park being tested i think).
Then i got a letter from ups demanding a fee which i duly paid. Turns out that the date the invoice had to be paid by was a sat and the money didn't go through until the monday evening so i got another letter coupla days ago charging me 4.59 for late payment of fees. Unbelievably bad all round service!:(

My experience with them has been pretty good, however they charge a small fortune! I actually just received a few bits and a new GBB today. Hong Kong to my doorstep in two & a half days, vat/duty was a little steep though, €107 charge for €350 worth of goods and postage:mad:

Thus, I try to buy pistols etc here (even when they wouldn't require downgrade), but get parts from abroad.

I agree totally but none of the Irish retailers have
the product range than non-Irish retailers have when it comes
to gear I've got most of what interests me from what
I can from the Irish retailers so it would be nice to see
    new products more often.

I really loved it when one of the retailers (airsofteire I think) a while back posted
a thread and asked us punters what did we want!!!! and
if they could get it they would!
