hey guys i just moved into a new house and the previous tenent had chorus/ntl installed here, mmds service, so there is an aerial on roof. my landlord informed me he had it disconnected so the box has been returned but aerial still on roof. i have tried to use the cable from this aerial to get basic irish channels but can get no signal on tv. do i need to purchase another aerial for this purpose? i am in ballincollig area in cork.

MMDS doesn't give you basic Irish channels in the way you describe. You need a box from UPC in order to get service.
