Like an idiot this morning a kerbed the front alloy of my new car. I blame the leaves hiding the kerb :o

Can anyone recommend anywhere to get this fixed, and does anyone have a rough idea of how much it'll cost me?

    Probably about €100 per wheel.

    Where are you located?

    Mike.

Live in Swords, work near Phibsboro. €100 isn't bad actually, don't feel quite as much of an idiot now!

Friend hit a pothole and caused same, can you claim from the council (Meath)? - It was a deep pothole a metre from the side of the road, punctured Tyre and buckled the alloy.

Another friend got a 19 inch Merc alloy repaired for 50 quid in some place west of Kilcock (not a garage)

Mmm they pay alright but only after a lot of hassle.

I heard of that guy alright, he is meant to be quite good but not for someone in a rush. As I think its only a weekend thing for him....

Next time you are changing tyres have a look out for brands with rim protection. These will help minimize kerbing.

Its abit of a trek for you but i've heard good reviews about collins engineering in bray, prices from 50 to 100 for repair.

If its just slight kerb rash and no buckle ect try a local bodyshop who would be able to fill and touch it up for you

There is a place out the north of Navan on the Proudstown Rd that does them for 50quid a wheel. Its a good few miles out (over railway crossing and on further) and on the right hand side. I used him to take a buckle out of an alloy for me but his main business is refinishing.

Thanks all - it's just a scuff rather than a buckle, I'll do a bit of ringing around today.

I got mine fixed by this crowd called <snip>. The bloke came out to my work and did them in a few hours. Look brand new and have saved me a good few bob.

+1 on Collins in Bray - great work.

Near phibsboro there is Campbells garage beside the hump back bridge on Rathoat Rd. between Cabra/Finglas. Never use himn, but I think he's good for scuffs, kerbing etc.

And they're so good that you put an advert up for them on adverts.ie? Banned for spamming.
