How does this look?

Hi, I would appreciate some insight.

I've made a bit of a boo boo tonight and i'm freaking out a little. Apologies if this all sounds very juvenile.

Basically in a nutshell - was seeing this guy from college last year. He f8cked me about. He buttered me up til I had sex with him and then told me he had no feelings for me. When he was seeing me, he kept picking me up and dropping me just as quick. I stayed around longer than I should have.

I know it's unhealthy but I still feel attraction towards him. We are back in college again and I see him there and it's hard. We don't speak. He is pleasant to me but I inadvertently pretty much ignore him as i'm still hurt and don't know how to carry myself on this one. Still being attracted to him doesn't help.

Anyway, tonight.... I'm on the webtext and i'm sending a group text to my friends inviting them out for my birthday. I fail to see he's still in this group of contacts and I send the text.

Is this going to look pathetic now? Is there any possibility that he will know it was a mistake or does it look like I did it on purpose?

The worst thing is, back in June - I sent him a drunk text. It was a general one, nothing bad but then I got a bit snotty when I didn't get the response I wanted. Foolish, I know.

I know this isn't the problem of the century or anything, sorry. But I would hate him to think that i'm still interested in him whatsoever. He really hurt me.

Any insight at all would be most welcome. Thank you.

At worst he'll think you're "mad after him", most likely he'll think you just want to get a crowd together for your birthday, either way, you're done with him, what should you care what he thinks?

He's in your past and what better a time to turn over a new leaf than your birthday?

    Happy Birthday btw.

Send him a follow-on text saying:

Oops! Didn't realise you were still on that contacts list! Soz! >.<

    and forget about it.

He seems to have been quick enough to forget about you once he got what he wanted, why does he deserve any more of your time or thought?

Have a great birthday with your real friends!

Text is sent, you cant do anything about it. Delete his number from now on.
Its really up to him if he turns up. If he does and is expecting a booty call disappoint him.

Move on, if he turns up, be polite but nothing more. No use ruining the night out for him is it?

    Edit: happy birthday

Whatever you do, DON'T send him another text telling him you sent the first by mistake. What you sent to him will look like what it is - a mass text sent to lots of people about your birthday. No biggie. Ye still see each other in college so it wouldn't be unusual for you to include him in such a message.

A follow-up text will look like you accidentally on purpose texted him the first time so that you could follow up with the apology and get in contact again. An ex of my husband's was constantly doing that to him for a while and it looks pathetic.

In short, just forget about it and if he turns up, don't worry and don't let it put a downer on your birthday.

Fair enough, I see your point ...

    Thanks everyone for the replies.

I did not text him back and don't intend to. The thought did cross my mind but I agree that it would look like I was just looking for an excuse to text him again.

I bet he so thinks i'm mad into him now. Aagh, so annoying.

    Thanks again.
