Blackstar Amps

Just wondering who's played them and what they thought of them?
The 15 & 30 watt Artisans get great reviews, as do their pedals, but it's the new HT5 head coming out Novemberish that has me all excited.

Basically the head is like one of their HT pedal range mutated into a 2 channel 5 watt amp head. And from guestimates so far its gonna come in around the €300-350 mark- more than justifiable as a wee Crimbo pressie to myself. So, obviously none of ye have tried these unreleased beauties yet but have any of ye used the HT pedals or the Artisan amps?

    Cool looking amp.
I'm looking forwarding to hear the tone as most 5W tube amps are single ended which are great for warm bluesy tones but lack a bit of the bite of a push pull stage.
Wonder what this "infinite shape feature" actually is? :p

Just found out that ISF is a mid shift control. How do get a patent for something that's already used in countless pieces of gear?!? Though I suppose Mesa Boogie did get a patent for a switch, the switch that changes from solid state to to valve rectifier, and yes it is just a switch.

I was over in london last june for the guitar show and saw these new amps and pedals.the pedals sound fantastic and i spoke to a few people about the amps too.
this is a company that has been set up by agroup of techs that used to work for marshall so you cant go wrong.
ive bought from this crowd in the uk before and they were the first official dealers of blackstar products.

€299 on Thomann, so hopefully it won't be much more in XMusic.

Let us know what ya think of the Artisans if ya make it out there on Saturday Dord. I reckon there's gonna be a big queue for these little 5 watters come November.

2 small things I was thinking about: there's no mention of it being handwired like the Artisan range (not a deal breaker I know, would be nice all the same) and secondly, that will bring my amp total to four, feckin ridiculous for a bedroom player!! Ah well, since when did common sense ever come into it:o
