I made that, what did others build?


Its a TM ak47, with an epoxy customised receiver to be correct to an rpk, danmu wood kit and front end, real rpk rear sight.

Internals are TM, systema and an extremefire mosfet with madbull hop and psg1 barrel.

Come on lads, lets see scope's shrike, vtec and dex's armalite abominations, puding and fiachs custom ak's and anything old or new we have forgotten or has gotten buried in the pics thread.

They're not abominations. They're armaleets.

Due to the fact that I never upgraded to DSLR from my trusty F5, I haven't got any decent images because good film has become both hard to find and bloody expensive. As such, most of the following have been taken on a dodgy compact in which I have no faith. But, ask and ye shall receive.
The infamous chrome and gold M4

(Both of these were plated by myself, I'm lucky in that I have access to the gear to do it. I've been asked several times where I bought the gold slide on the M92 and the chrome bodies for both, they were both stock units which have I have just given some tlc.)


Another modded M4, this was thrown together out of spare parts I had lying around. It's surprisingly comfortable and works rather well after an initial hop problem. The outer barrel finishes with a KX3 Sound Hog flash hider that sits perfectly flush with the front of the heat shield (you can't see it to tell). It reminds me a bit of a Sten.




The current work-in-progress. The Magpul/Gemtech rifle. I should have this finished, with any luck, by the end of the month.






I've got a few more done here but these are all I've taken images of yet.
It should also be pointed out that I hate M4's and M92's, yet they make up the bulk of my customs.

Actually, this poic reminds me...

Anyone got a spare gearbox(any version)[Working!] hop unit and maybe a very long barrel(Plus 510mm) that they'd like to pawn off?

Oh, and I'll have to blag use of the schools lathe...

I got the idea of using then from watching PMag follower testing on YouTube about a year ago. The use of STANAGs is well documented (if unreliable) in RS. A lot of showcase pictures of M249's show them with magazines instead of boxes, especially the older CA ones.

HK416 running on lipos fed by viper dump bag "fitted with internals from the CA249 boxmag" now called a magbag holds 15000 rounds "ish" shoots at 300 fp essess and around 38 a second ...................... keep yer heads down lads

Separate note: How are you finding the lipoly batts? Thinking of converting my systema to that. Would allow me to buy some of the nicer stocks

They're awesome - Btw, even if you kept the standard PTW stock, you can fit the "3 seperate cell'd" ones in one side of the stock.

i noticed they had released a 20c version a nice improvement over the very lackluster 12c version they brought out first

just back from gtac .. had the SRC HK416 and a kwa m4a1 both on lipos .

one 1000 mah lipo each for the two days although i didnt use the m4 much but my son used the HK both days and theres stil a fair amount of power left in the one he was using .

a couple of weekes ago i had a 249 boxmag fitted to the 416 and put around 12000 rounds through it using the lipo . it didnt miss a beat and that was in just a one hour game defending the D base . if your trigger happy you will drain one in less than two maybe three hours . but if you only fire when needed then they will last you a good days skirmishing . only use them if your aeg is compatibal with lipos other wise you will fry everything in it .. i know this from using them in rc helis and cars that wernt ment to have em ..so a stok aeg wouldnt stand a chance

Wait so your saying an src 416 can handle the11.1 lipos??... I woulda thought that'd be pushing it! Cool, i want to get that peq out of the way! Will get photos up some day of it gettin its pimp on... Haha

probly should be a lipo thread...... but yeah the SRC 416 is still spittin em out at a serious rate .. in the dark with a torch on its like your waving a white rope . im gona strip the 416 to have a look at its internals but so far its all good . ..... nothing smells melted or like burnt toast ....
