Can Not Ship Outside The USA?

I've just been told by an ebay seller that he can't ship his goods outside the USA, telling me, it is illeagal for anyone in the USA to do so.

Has anybody heard this one before or is he pulling my left one?

Depends what he's selling really. What was it you were trying to buy?
Some items aren't intended for export, others are intended for military / law enforcement only.

If it's just standard airsoft gear though, it's more than likely he's just talking out his ass

So he can send it? Keep in mind it's an AEG and not just parts or what ever.

I can point you to several bonafide online US retailers who are quite federal compliant and able to send AEGs around the world. Why you'd want to order an AEG from the US that you can get from Asia is beyond me though; orange-tipped, trade marks removed ... meh. My .2c

Things like certain EOTech sights (for example) cannot be shipped outside of N.America due to either trade and/or licensing restrictions (usually licensing from the manufacturers). But AEGs? I smell porkies!

The site in question is ebay, keep in mind.
After pointing out to me that it is a federal law, he pointed out that it was ebay policy.

Lemming, I wanted to buy it from there because it was second hand on the cheap.

I have to admit I was suspicious at first because Americans often simply don't want to post outside the USA but I checked what ebay had to say on it and they clarified it.

IIRC (and I could be wrong), AEGs are also not classed as firearms or weapons in the US either. Regardless, if the seller is hiding behind dubious interpretation to get out of posting to you, there's not much to do but move on to the next seller.

There are US airsoft stores on ebay who do. So as I said, porkies and there's very little you can do but move on unfortunately. Sucks, but there you have it

I think about 80% of US online retailers won't ship outside of the states, its very strange for the country that supposedly brought capitalism to the world they don't like money..... :rolleyes:
