well, there's shopping for a start. the Bullring is quite nice now (and just outside the Bullring is Birmingham's "Irish town" if you fancy seeing one of those). New Street Station is right on the Bullring.

There's also cadburyworld if you can handle a whole theme park dedicated to chocolate.:D

It's a grim place, so maybe get on the plane and fly home?

Broad street is crawling with bars, some good, some bad and some woefull. but unless you are on a stag do you are better off clearing out of there by 10 on a friday night and heading to the Arcadian maybe.

Loads of shops in the Bullring, and on New street.

I loved the Aquarium when i was there, head up to Victoria square, there are a few museums, and there is always something on there at the weekends. They have a german market in december.

really depends what you like doing to be honest, There is everythign from cricket at edgebaston, Tolkien museum to live music at the Arcadian and cheap booze on broad street.

Great bar underneath the Burlington on New street called Bachus, really chilled out and does some really nice food.

Shimla Pinks on Broad St. if you like indian food...not called the Balti Belt for nothing! If the missus wants to do some serious shopping try Merry Hill, though since the Bullring opened there isn't as much reason to trek out there. Now that I think of it there isn't a whole lot to do...I lived there for 5 years and I can't think of anything else! I think they still do tours of the Jewellery Quarter and I remember those being quite informative, might not be your thing tho :D

Bacchus is lush....making me 'home' sick :(

Had a fabulous weekend recently in Birmingham, stayed at Jurys Broad St. What an amazing buzz, lots of nice folk and absolutely fantastic noite atmosphere. Across the road from Jurys, upstairs, was one the best ever Indian restaurant experiences ever, must go: Rendezvous.

Great bars on Broad St. Looking forward to going back. Try Replay retro 80's , amazing!
