Is ebays www.escrow.com safe?

    Hi guys,

    I am looking to buy a car from somebody in Switzerland. Price is really good and car looks great. However, I cannot get to Switzerland and they suggested we use an escrow service.

    I have tried to get as much info on this as I can. I believe www.escrow.com, which is in association with ebay, is pretty safe. Am I right in thinking this? It's a lot of money to lose so I want to be 100% sure. Also is there any other service like this to use or will I just be adamant that it's ebays one or none at all?

    i suggest you read up on car scams and "escrow" services over on the motors board.

    I don't think excrow.com is part of eBay either, it seems to be a separate company altogether.

    I also wouldn't buy a car from Switzerland without seeing it first, especially if the price is "really good", as that's almost certainly a scam of some sort.

    These kind of things are generally scams, get involved and I'd say you can kiss your money goodbye
