Hi guys , I have a 2.2 degree and 6 months programming experience, 18 months tech support experience but finding it impossible to find work here. No luck and typically no response from over 70 (and counting) job applications to all the large IT multinationals, small firms, state companies etc.

Just wondering does anyone know what the situation is like in the UK, London in particular as I am considering moving there very soon if this continues.

    Thanks.

well the no response is fairly typical - they are far too polite to send a rejection letter so no news = rejection. its a pain because sometimes you need a rejection letter to get a national insurance number.

its hard to get a straight answer from people over there, they are far too polite

Are you applying for advertised vacant positions, or just cold calling?
