Also, please bear in mind that the Luas/90/92 add-on is NOT valid on any other Dublin Bus route.
This is a common problem as rail ticket holders attempt to validate cards which are CLEARLY labeled 90/92 etc.

Mind you this could also be due to mis-coding of tickets at rural rail stations if the purchaser is not SPECIFIC as to the amount of Bus Travel they wish to make.

A journey to/from Heuston-An Lar does not represent FULL Dublin Bus entitlement....so make sure yiz CHECK yer tickets when you buy them : )

The ticket from Park West costs the same to Hueston as it does with the add on Bus service to town (€1.80). It does cost more if you want a combo Luas and Train ticket at €3.10.

Alek, do you mean they are trying to use them on the number 59 in Dalkey (easy to seee that isn't allowed) or that they are trying to use them on any bus along the quays (more understandable mistake)?

€3.10 is an outrageous price from Park West to the city centre - its about €1.70 on the DB route 79a.

Yes, but rip off part is the luas add-on whereas the 90/92 bus is reasonable/integrated.

I would sometimes have peope present with such tickets as far out as Greystones.
However, far more usual would be on any route passing a major Hospital...for example Vincents or The Eye and Ear would regulary have such beep beep festivals as the validator rejects the 90/92 ticket.
Many poor folks cannot yet understand that the 92 actually goes to Leeson St and as a result will disembark in the City Centre and wait for another bus out to the eye n ear...... :):):)
