Wouldn't touch it!! How old are your tyres? are they inflated to the correct pressure?

Have you checked your rim tape ?

tyres are pretty much new, nobby nick and racing ralph, rim tape is perfect too. keep getting tiny thorns that pierce through the tyre and into the tube, have removed them each time. end up with slow punctures, very annoying.

What about tyre pressures? if rim tape is ok, tyres are ok and tyre pressures are OK, theres not much else you can do.

What tyres do you ride OP?

If they're for commuting or training rather than off-road use, you might find fitting puncture resistant tyres such as specialised armadillos or continental gatorskins helps. I've around 1,000km on my gatorskins so far without so much as hint of a flat.*

    * No doubt I'll get one tommorow now!

I've used Slime in my tubes while riding in Spain. I was getting several punctures a day due to thorns and this stopped it completely. However it does add a lot of weight.

If you're riding offroad (and judging by your tyres I assume you are) then just convert your wheels to tubeless and use some kind of sealant (e.g. Stans, Joes). You'll never look back.
