Hah. Not quite. Picked it up from Cycleways yesterday and brought it home on the train. Got a few funny looks.

Here's a couple of better pictures

That looks great - I was contemplating an Xtracycle conversion kit myself a few months back. Would love to hear how it rides. Post some pics up when you've added all the bits?

That looks great. Pity about the crack on the down tube.

Lovely, will make a great tri bike.

How are you building it up?

That's mad! I had to go look at the surly site. I was trying to figure out where the frame ended and the workstand started!:D

Do you need an extra chain tensioner for that?

    +1

I'm thinking about buying an xtracycle conversion for my Alfine hub geared MTB in a year or two when the young one gets older. The surly would probably flex a lot less than a conversion and for that reason I would consider one if the recession is over by then, but it is rather expensive.

Still, it'll turn heads. Lovely piece of engineering and utility cycling at its finest.

Did the bag of pasta come with the frame or was it extra?:D

If I was running a normal derailleur system then I wouldn't need a chain tensioner, but because I'm running and internal geared hub with vertical dropouts I do need a chain tensioner.

dunno if you realised already, but in the photos at least you have the comfort grips on the wrong way around ...
