Sharkscope missing info..

I was playing double ups on Ipoker and cashed in three in a row. I decided to check my stats on Sharkscope and saw that only the second two showed. I double checked with ipoker to see if I was mistaken and it showed 3 within the 40 min period and I could see it was defo the one I thought that was missing.. so I was wondering if Sharkscopes problem is with disconnection..

Fecking laptop overheating. I had just played about 4 hands and was lucky enough to have over 4000 chips. The laptop switches off and I have to wait 5 mins before I can put it on again. I get it up and running and then manage to get to play 1 hand before the double up ends and I am in the money.. so.. my question.

Do you think it is the disconnections that sharkscope misses? I know I have checked before and saw SnGs missed. Anyone else notice this?

Ya I noticed this before too. Not sure how they miss some but on their website it says they only have 90% coverage for ipoker and it takes 10 minutes to update your profile after the sng.

They'll only update you when you report it if you play on fulltilt or merge i think. I use Sharkscope all the time and in the past 4-5 days they have not recorded about 1 in every 2 stt wins of mine. funny how your losses never seem to fail to be recorded!

The odd game is always missed but Its been bad enough recently for me to email them and ask is there a problem with the site.

I kept good records for a while, sharkscope misses about 10% of games.

I've played loads of sng's on FT with a scalp, and Sharkscope weren't picking up on the scalp. The difference to the figures is unreal.

Aye, they seem to miss about 25% of my wins as well, and take into account about 150% of my losses. :p

As long as you are recording your STT cashes yourself, why do you care what results are recorded by Sharkscope - why not let others at your tables who can be bothered to check think that you are a less successful player than you actually are?

thats certainly true-must be an ego thing

I think if you are a succesful player, then if sharkscope does indeed miss say 10% (i think thats a bit on the high side anyway), then players you play will still see your stats as a long run successful player anyway so that doesnt matter. its just annoying i suppose.

Last week I won 7 sit'n'gos in a row on Stars and Sharkscope only had 4 of them so I couldn't post about my massive success without the proof. :D

OK, seriously. I've noticed that from time to time they miss an STT or two. And I only play on Pokerstars, so it's not like it's limited to one specific network.

Does OPR miss the same amount of results, or is it generally more reliable?

Its not an ego thing or anything like that to why I looked. I posted more about trying to find out where sharkscope goes wrong. I rarely use sharkscope now but just looked at my stats as its a pretty new account. I noticed the SnG missing right away and was curious. And when I realised it was the one I disconnected from it got me thinking. thats all

I was wondering the same thing as well

Thanks for the replies and it seems there's no connection between the 2. Just Sharkscope not being able to keep up with the volume of STTs being played. I wouldnt mind so much if it missed some of the ones i lost instead of the ones i won ;-)

In the long run it will miss your wins and your losses in equal proportion to your results, so it shouldn't affect your stats too much....

No, because even when you get disconnected, other players don't and results are registered at tournament-level rather than player-level. If you click on "Recent Results" and then on the Tournament ID you see the final results for the full tournament and all the players that played that tournament will have their stats updated accordingly.

I think there was a sarcastic smiley missing from the post TripleA. You dont tend to notice the losses as much as the wins. Sharkscope could miss all my losses if they want as long as they leave the upslopes in!!
