Youtube... no sound

    The sound in videos I play in youtube have gone waaaay down (almost inaudible). Other sites play sound fine (well at least www.rte.ie/radio + audiocheck.net/audiotests_frequencychecklow.php)

    Also in another account on my vista laptop, youtube plays fine.
    Any ideas what might be blocking youtube sound in my primary user account?

    sounds silly but it did make me stop for 5 minutes when it happened to me but is the volume turned town on youtube?? you have the volume slider down on the lower right of the videos, if its turned town it will remember the setting till you clear the browser history
