    Hi All,

    Just looking for some advice...

Folks booked a holiday with Thomas Cook, arrived at Dublin Airport y'day @2.00pm for a 4.30pm flight . The plane didn't arrive into Dublin at all...folks were put up in Bewleys Hotel (+ food). They were told that they would be bussed to Belfast today for a 4.00pm flight......This ended up been delayed a further 2 Hrs ( got an £8 food voucher).

Plane eventually took off at 6.30pm (this is +26hrs late)....do they have any comeback ???

    thanks
    Phil

What has happened to the plane load of people who were on holiday in Egypt last week then? They must have ended up somewhere with a story to tell about the end of their holiday being ruined.

Comeback in what respect? The airline provided everything they had to under the laws that exist. Travel insurance may or may not pay compensation for the delay but no one here knows whether or not your folks had travel insurance of what the policy entails.

One of the Egypt flights was with Futura, so they may be having problems with aircraft still.

The insurance should pay out, not only for the inconvenience, but also for the fact that they have lost a day of their holiday.

To make matters worse, they arrived at apartments @ 10.30pm Monday night....but no one there with apartment keys until 1.00am & no holiday rep either !!!
Yip, they have a yearly travel insurance policy ( not sure of the plan).
Its pretty much put a cloud over their whole holiday.
