    Hi All
Just bought a 16gb MyMemory brand USB key and my laptop won't recognize it. Nothing happens when I plug it in and no sign of anything in Disk Manager or Device Manager....

Anybody know anything I can do :(

    Cheers

    Maybe it's dead?
Have you tried it on another computer?

Any other USB devices that are not getting recognized? What about any yellow astrix or red x marks beside the USB in Device Manager?

I would suggest go on to the Manufac website and look for drivers for USB and download and install and see if it makes any difference.

it sounds dead. you could try boot into a live cd and see if that recognizes it?

the specification also spelled kernel wrong :p

Ok, I just got in to work, plugged it in and lo and behold........nothing!
Last night though, in that strange frame of mind you get in after trying everything else, I was just randomly plugging it in and out and once the light DID come on and I got the "Device not recognized" balloon but it disappeared and nothing else happened. :(
    Think I'll be returning it......
