Bad first date. Have I missed my chance?

I recently kissed a girl that I really really like and would love to go on another date with. The only problem is that I majorly screwed up. And I mean majorly.

Basically I was going out with someone else at the time, which i didn't tell her until after we kissed. She was very upset. I also drank way too much and ranted for quite a while about how bad I am at relationships and suchlike.

Yes I am pretty much the worst first date ever!! The thing is, I can't stop thinking about this girl. I felt absolutely horrible about what I did and I know that I shouldn't have kissed her. I broke up with my girlfriend pretty much the day after this happened as we both agreed that it wasn't working out.

I was away for a few weeks in the meantime and said I'd text her when I got back, which I did, but it's now been three days and she hasn't replied. What do I do?

She doesn't know that I am single again and I imagine I painted the worst possible picture of myself when we met. I have her number, obviously, but that is it. I would never run into this girl in the course of normal life though I do know where she works.

Should I send another text explaining that I am single and want to ask her out on a date? I would call her, except if she didn't reply to my first text then I'm worried that she won't answer. I know I acted like a total jerk, but i think i deserve another chance.

Would it be a really bad idea to try and engineer a meeting on the street near where she works? Or is that a bit stalkerish?

    Send her some flowers?

Help would be appreciated, cos I'm wrecking my head trying to figure this one out and I really really like her!

    Thanks guys.

Forget about texting her. Man up and make the call. Worst case scenario is she doesn't answer so you can leave a voicemail. From the tone of your post, I take it you're young enough. Maybe she has no credit? ANyway, from the sounds of it you have to start being very apologetic. See if you get another chance, and if you do, try to go somewhere that doesn't involve drink. A cafe or somesuch.

Yup. Textings for chickens. If she doesn't answer leave an upbeat and friendly message saying you hope she'd like to give it another shot. Rehearse it first! If she doesn't respond to that its her loss!

I fail to see how its her loss unless you count losing someone who has cheated on his girlfriend with and then got pissed and ranted at you a loss.

Its not a great start OP and if she was posting I'd tell her to run a mile. I think she's taking notice of the huge big red flag waving in her face that tells her you have no issue with cheating on someone. She can take it that how you treated your last girlfriend is a taste of whats in store for her. You also told her in no uncertain terms what an awful boyfriend you'd be and got locked.

And how arrogant of you to think that she should give you another chance. Serious amount of looking in the mirror needs to be done on your part because OP you will reap what you sow, as you are finding out. But you don't seem to like not getting your own way. Too bad!! suck it up!

You sound like such a nice guy though

Nothing ball is in her court, if she doesn't want to play you can hardly blame her

I doubt she'll go WOW he's single now he is mine
I would call her, except if she didn't reply to my first text then I'm worried that she won't answer. I know I acted like a total jerk, but i think i deserve another chance.
and why is that? you gave us no reason?

    Extremely
    Send her some flowers?
Nice thought, but could be creepy "Oh look that guy who cheated on his GF and then told me how much of a knob he was, is sending me flowers ... it is my lucky day"
    Help would be appreciated
Personally I think delete her number, she isn't interested in a cheater obviously

Yeah, ring or text her - not to ask her out, though, just to apologise for making her a guilty party in cheating on your previous girlfriend, and getting obnoxiously drunk while doing so.

If by some miracle she agrees to see you again, try not to cheat on her and do the same with the next girl, yeah?

even calling someone from a different number these days is stalking

give girls every possible opportunity to ignore/reject you?
