    I see this film got loads of great reviews ... and being a huge fan of the Fly .. i decided to check it out ...

    very dissapointed to be honest ...

    don't understand what the hype is about .. maybe i need to watch it again ..

    To be honest, the film has dated fairly poorly. It was an absolutely terrific film mind you, but I can see how someone seeing it for the first time wouldn't be all that impressed.

    It definitely would be worth another watch, put aside the hype and just try to enjoy it for what it is, because it certainly is good.

    First saw it about 18 years ago and watched it again about a year ago.I think its a great horror movie and the effects really have dated very well.Its so different from pretty much every other horror movie which is part of why I enjoyed it so much.

    I think Scanners carrys some merit today, granted it is heavily dated but its enjoyable romp all the same
