Buying a good pool cue in Dublin/online

    Hey all,

I'm interested in spending a few hundred on a decent pool cue (not snooker). Is there somewhere in Dublin that I could try a few out? I've only ever played with house cues but I'm good enough now to warrant a good cue.

I'd like one that is a good all round cue but is also good for Masse as I do a lot of that and am constantly practising. Is there specific stats I should be looking for or is it all about personal choice? Is a linen wrap best or should I get any wrap at all? I've been browsing http://www.platinumbilliards.com and the range is enormous so I'd like to narrow it down.

Sould I get an American cue or one from the East?

    Etc. etc.

    Thanks in advance,
    Kevpatts

    Hi Kevpatts

I have a snooker club down in Waterford and have a small selection of American Pool cues in stock.
Only two brands unfortunatly to date, MacMorran and Cuetec.
I only have two american pool tables in the club so just got a few in stock incase any of the new members fancy taking the pool a bit more serious.

I can get any of the Cuetec range within a few days should you be interested in one of those. I have this one in stock at present http://www.platinumbilliards.com/cuetec-pool-stick-99401-p-1001923.html
Send me a private message if interested.

    Thanks

PS. Mainly have snooker cues, approx 50+ in stock at all times and range from 50 to 300 euro. Peradon, Mastercue, O'Min and Unique Ranges.

    Hi WSC,

How much do your pool cues start out at in price?? I'm looking to buy a fairly cheap cue with a break shaft and a normal shaft and a normal butt, so I'd have a break cue and normal cue all in 3 parts. I'll probably call down to you in Tramore some day this week.
