Sky + Offer

I have never used Sky and I am interested in giving it a try after seeing their latest offers.

I was wondering if I took out a subscription and then if I decided that it's not worth keeping. Can I cancel with Sky (after 12 month contract expires) and use the Sky+ Box and Recorder for the free to air channels?

also is the Sky+ HD worth the extra?

    Appreciate some comments on above

The sky plus recording features only work with a paid subscription. I'm not sure if you can pay for it on it's own to record the free channels but I imagine it would be complicated as you can't get a lot of them on the epg unless you remove the card (which would enable the recording, I guess) and reset for the english epg.

Not sure about hd, seems like a lot of money for a few channels imo

The Sky+ and SkyHD are no use in Ireland without subscription. Better to go for a Freesat branded PVR.

Fat Fingers, I am pretending absolutly nothing. I was simply quoting what the advert I got from Sky said, and of course I was suggesting they use my details as then I get the €75. I have a child to feed. :D
