Princeton University professor and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman has just won this year's Nobel Prize for Economics.

I know feck all about this arcane science, but I do know that he's the sort of intelligent well meaning American who gets right up the noses of some of the more odious creatures on the right wing over there and therefore, he's OK by me.

But what do all you clever people who know how the "hidden hand" works think?

    Just curious.
