wondering if anyone has ever put a gazebo on a deck successfully???? its just to cater for overflow at a family party, most of teh Gazebos I have seen are pegged into the ground.....

I got a metal framed one from Woodies, it was about €200, and I screwed it to the deck. The only problem I have had is the material top that it comes with, they used velcro to strap it onto the frame. This velcro is pretty rubbish and I ended up having to sew on my own straps to tie it down. I have had it up now for 2 years through all weathers.

thanks for that, gosh you went to a lot of trouble, I really only want it for the one night, not as a permanent fixture, thanks again

We have put ours up several times . No need to tie it down. Over the last 2 years maybe 5-6 times on the deck to accommadate overflow / smokers what not.. Works a charm
