Time Synch Problem on FTA Receiver

I have just this weekend installed a Triax T10 receiver and Philex Satellite dish. No problems so far with channels and positioning dish etc. My problem appears to be with the time on the receiver. I set the date and time on the receiver no problems there. Time appears correct on receiver. Appears correct when epg dispalyed for channel.
I have a number of variations on the problem.
    1. When receiver is switched off current time appears on receiver display. However time does not increment correctly and just stays at that time.
    2. When receiver is switched old time appears on receiver display (out of synch). Time does increment but stays out of synch.
    3. When receiver is switched off current time appears on receiver display. Time increments correctly. A wakeup program on the starts up correctly and finishes on time. Time on receiver display remains fixed at time program finished.

Where does the receiver get its time from? Any ideas on what may be casusing this time synch problem?

    Declan

Some get it from satellite data feed and others rely on you setting it manually.

Thanks for that. I set it manually and let the satellite update the time. However the problem still remains
