Anyone got it yet ? Got a good review on the P.C. last week on Eurogamer with the Wii review to follow but IGN have the sub heading as "Absolutely phenomenal" with a score of 9.5 overall, http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/918/918954p1.html
Might download it myself as I thought it looked interesting when it was first previewed.

Boom Blox is currently fulfilling the Cartoon Puzzler niche for me. doing a very good job of it too.

Yeah, me too, but often I end up playing for too long and am left in pain !
Read elsewhere since I posted that it probably won't be available on Wiiware in Europe but will be sold like a regular game on disc.

At 4 times the price, disgraceful.

Online distribution has the potential to revolutionize the European game market but it wont work unless Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony embrace it. releasing Goo on disk is exactly the sort of thing that is holding back these developments.

To be fair to Nintendo in this case, it isn't their fault it's not going to Wiiware. It seems to have been the decision of the developer, RTL Playtainment.

That is utterly ridiculous, its apparent from that that the plans to release the game as a retail title is nothing more than an attempt to fleece gamers in Europe. Games here can be nearly TWICE the price of of retail games in the US, when factoring in exchange rates.

World of Goo is $10 to download in the US, when its released here it will be at least E40, thats $55, MORE THAN FIVE FREAKING TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE FOR THE SAME GAME! Its absurd and those involved should be ashamed.

I might have bought it as a E10 WiiWare title, I wont even consider it now.

I was hugely looking forward to download this, but having to go out and buy this at €50 is going to make me think long and hard about getting it.

I think it's $15 in the US, but regardless, paying several time more here just isn't acceptable.

European gamers getting the royal screw job? Why am I not surprised.

I pre-ordered it for the PC off the 2d-boy site, it's a really great game. Think I'd prefer the mouse controls to the wii-mote though

Personally, I prefer owning a physical copy of something, as opposed to just a download. From what I've read, the Euro release will be much cheaper than a regular physical title and we'll also be getting additional content / levels compared to the download version.

And given the lack of any AAA titles on the Wii, a game described as "absolutely phenomenal" is practically a must buy.

And if people want to complain about prices, they should lobby Nintendo to kick off its budget title range on the Wii. As far as I know, some of the Wiis launch titles are still full price, nearly two years after the launch

Saw this title listed as a great game and then discovered the inability to get it in Europe. Well, news just out says you get download it in December on wiiware.

See this and this for details.

Now to find out what are wii points . Only just got the wii so am a complete newbie!

Good to see it's coming to WiiWare in Europe!

Wii Points are the currency used for purchasing things through your Wii. You can buy points through the Wii itself using a credit card (€20 for 2000 points, but I think you can buy them in 500 or 1000 too) or in the shops/online on points cards. The cards come in 2000 only, and can cost more than €20 depending on the shop.

    E20 for 2000 points from Gamestop :)

I got this for the PC and its a great little game. Definitely worth the €15 on WiiWare.

Eurogamer have the Wii review up now, gave it 10/10 and said it's better than the PC version due to the control system being better using the Wii remote. Should be up very soon.

Downloaded it a few days ago off the wiishop. Its brilliant. Very addictive and the graphics are so smooth. 10/10

Downloaded it last night and nearly missed football training because of the Build a Tower Level on Chapter 1. Absolutely brilliant game, didnt expect it to be as good as it is.

Not since Lemmings has a Puzzle game grabbed my attention as much, It challenges you on so many levels with Engineering, Physics, Logic and the like and then when you just go for broke and try and string the last couple together to reach the pipe hoping the thing doesn't collapse!!

10/10 .... Great game. Just started Chapter 2 last night.

Funny, I thought of Lemmings too when playing World of Goo. God, Lemmings was a great puzzle game. You could spend ages on one level and not one lemming could be spared. One bad move and back to start again! Very clever game.

I had a few levels on Goo like that. One of the early ones with the circular saw and also the ode to a bridge. The tower one took a good few attempts too.

I am loving World of Goo at the moment. The last level of chapter 1 is brilliant.

I actually played through chapters 2 and 3 playing with someone else, it shouldn't work but it does brilliantly, great fun.

Its not multiplayer is it? You mean sharing turns?

No, just pick up a second control and 2 people can play at the same time. It's up to you how you play though, one person can just wreck whatever the other is building or you can work together which is still just as fun.

If you're connected to the net just download it from the Wii store.
