Anyone any ideas'/links/websites that show you how to make or even buy already made "secret pockets"? A few of my mates suggested that they are the best security device you can have while out travelling abroad and since i'm off to Tanzania in Jan for 3 months I'd like to do the same.

Basically a secret pocket is easily made I know, but I'd like to see what your idea's and suggestion would be regarding it. Have any of ye ever sewn a secret pocket into a pair of jeans before etc...

Very handy thing to have indeed. What i did before was get a cloth sunglasses case and just sewed it to the inside of a pair of shorts/jeans + it worked a treat.

just cut up an old shirt. cut it slightly longer than a bank note and an inch maybe a bit more wide, and sew it really well- works better with a machine if you can get your hands on one. also sew on a flap to close the pocket. make sure you sew it tight and that it overlaps the pocket itself on both sides so that even if you're running, jumping etc, there's no way the notes or anything else can fall out. also make sure any knots you make on the threads are on the outside of the boxers so as not to make them uncomfortable. you have no idea how useful these were during my travels!!:p

Very ingenious idea my friend. I think I'll try this. I was thinking of putting a pocket in a few of my combats that I'll be bringing with me on my travels...and using velcro to keep the tops of them closed?

make sure there's no chance that velcro might rub on your leg,or it's going to be painful

Triple 5 soul hoodies. Always have a secret pocket behind the tag at the back of the neck, and usually another one oon the inside of the regular hoody pocket.

    What's wrong with normal pockets?

For those who said these secret pockets proved to be really helpful, how exactly did they do this?
