you might want to consider adopting an artists name if your going to publish any comic work - I know you both have the same name but Alan is already pretty well established within the Irish and uk comics scenes.

An artists name you say....yeah its a bit unfortunate, who would have thunk there was two AN's at this lark.

'Alan Moore' has a nice ring to it....and I'd only have to get my monogrammed pj's slightly altered!

hhmm it seems all the good names are taken, I think there might be a small time graphic novel writer called Alan Moore.
As far as your art goes it looks sweet. However, I think you should do a smoke effect on photoshop rather then the squiggle lines on page 2 (i'm assuming thats meant to be smoke) or spend some time drawing it but with more realistic detail. Your establishing shots look great, you really have the perspective looking the part and your buildings have some real nice deatil which makes it a more beliveable landscape. The people look cool aswell with a good range of expressions. So all in all nice work, keep it up, let us know when you are planning to release the comic.

Thanks for the comments! I'm hoping to work out the pencils for a few more pages this week....always easier with a bit of time off work. Currently penciling page 12 of 24, so there's a bit to go yet. Will be lettering the lot through photoshop and am undecided about how the smoke effect will be worked....I'm not a bit fan of digital effects so I may wait til the end and re-do those few pages with some dry-brush!!

Tum te tum... Hold on a minute! This ain't me! I turn my back for ten minutes to knock out issue 5 of Sancho and come back to find I'm usurped by a younger, better looking Alan Nolan 2.0 model. Ah! The humanity! I ain't broke, don't fix me. The older the fiddle, the more bangin' the choons.

Its bloody mental, our names sound so different....its only when you see them in print that you'd realise why all these internet people make such a fuss!!

How's things with you Al, glad to see you're still working away!
