    Afternoon folks,

I'm a 17 year old and at the moment im deciding what courses i should be looking to get into after i finish my second level education.

I intend to pursue a career in business, and perhaps I.T.

So undoubtebly i should be looking at doing a Business degree!

The one i've been looking at is in Trinity, and its a joint honours degree in Business and Computing, and my opinion is that it would stand well to me if i wanted to combine a business career with the IT sector. But its your opinions i want :)

So thats a 4 year degree, and im strongly considering doing a masters after, in Strategic Management in DIT. Link

    I've got a few questions,

-Are there any other undergraduate degrees you think i should pursue?
-Have any of you done the business and computing degree i mentioned, and if so, what was your opinion on it and where are you now?
-Have any of you doine the Masters i mentioned, and if you have, how did you find it and where are you now?
    -Any other advice/guidance?

Cheers, hope your all having a good weekend

    -Dan

Im currently doing a Business and manegement course in DIT and Im so glad I picked it. I had looked at Bess and Commerce too. However I have found that this course is very broad and gives you a good grounding in all areas of business with an option to specialise in third year. Our year head is very progressive and I believe in years to come this coures will be recognised as better than others in bigger more well backed courses. Im currently picking subjects and am specialising in New Venture Creation etc, with a view on doing a masters in Entrepreneurship in DIT. However I woul say this, there isnt much of an emphasis on computing. We did databases and general excel but not much more. Dont know much re: strategic mgmt but Aungier St is a great college

    Hi Dan,

I'm in an identical position as you, literally. The course in Trinity is a brand new course so theres no experience of it specifically and no average point requirement - though there is only 25 places so it's likely to be tough points!
