I am looking for the best quality 1/8" jack pin headphones that will fit inside the ears for a walkman, N95, EEEPC etc. Dont mind paying a little extra for something decent. Durability and sound quality taken into account.

Best Quality Vs Money willing to be spent is a factor here....what is your max budget?

    are overhyped and overpriced.

i can't recommend the shure range enough, i have a pair of E3g's and they are great.

ultimate ears are also meant to be good as well.

Another -1 for Bose and a +1 for Shure

I'm still using a 2 year old pair of E3s daily with my Zune and N95
(and leave a backup pair of 3 year old E2s in the office).

There are also Jays, who make great phones.

Then there's the Sleek Audio SA6

    Denon...

    FreQ...

    Etymotic...

    Westome....

lots of earpones, but without a budget it's difficult to recommend anything specific...

The absolute best IEMs are probably the UE 11 pro's, but they cost serious, serious money

I got a set of Ultimate Ears Super Fi Pro 5s recently, the sound is unbelievable! Expensive though, but well worth it IMO. Check out this forum for threads and reviews of practically every pair of headphones in existence.

Can you get any of these over the counter in Dublin? I am reluctant to buy in the UK as i had trouble with warrenty issues in the past, at least you cab bark over the counter if you buy local.

Have a read of this thread for stockists in Dublin, it's a bit old but should
    give you a starting point.

Personally I've bought Shure in the past from Amazon UK (no longer ship here), mobilefun.co.uk and several pairs from amp3.co.uk.
I'd highly recommend amp3.co.uk - they are even listed as an official
supplier on the Shure UK site.

i bought my shure's off a ebayer seller called wind930 (i think was her name) after about a year of really rough use the wires were tattered to to the left ear bud, i sent them off to shure uk with a paypal receipt as proof of purchase. 3 days later, new shures with new warranty.

Thats the type of service I like. :)

The headphones that came with my Nokia N95 only had 6 months warrenty cover.
