Excuse my complete ignorance here but with cross country races do you have to be a part of a team to enter or can you enter as an individual like in road races? Thanks.

The races are individual races, with an entry fee of 15 euro per head. A group of 3 women and 4 men can make up teams. There is no additional charge for teams.

Do you have to be any way good to take part, or just to be able to complete the five miles... I presume the'll be times from 25min to 50min+

Anyone any word on how this went, in particular the Junior Men.

Didn't see junior races. Fionnuala Britton won ladies race from Linda Byrne. Mark Christie won mens, Alan McCormack second and Brian Farrell third. Blustery conditions and fairly competitive races.

    Some results:
    1) Mark Christie
    2) Alan McCormack
    3) Brian Farrell
    4) Mark Hanrahan
    5) Dan Mulhare
    6) Mick Clohessy
    7) John Coghlan
    8) Cillian O'Leary
    9) Michael Mulhare (1st junior)

Craig Murphy was second junior, not sure where he finished overall.

    Women's:
    1) Fionnuala Britton
    2) Hazel Murphy
    3) Deirdre Byrne
    4) Aoife Byrne
    5) Charlotte Ffrench-O'Carroll

not 100% on the women's but think that 5 are right. Pauline Curley, Ciara Durkin, Rebecca Ffrench-O'Carroll were also in the top 10 I think.
