the marui mk23 has a fixed slide if i remember rightly. so you might want to keep that in mind. still looks really good however.

ksc also did a full metal mk23, in fact they did a range of them. i think they have stopped making quite a few of them now and it always seems to be out of stock. there is 2 models now a abs one and a metal slide version. again it seems hard to get and that may mean they are ending the line.

i think hfc did a mk23 also but they called it something different like a usp and the metal one didnt have markings. it is supposed to be quite good by all accounts. again it seems to be out of stock a lot so maybe that means they dont make it anymore..

you could always get a full length usp and change the slide i guess, but you will need some of the pistol heads here to tell you if thats correct or some type of heresy....

the above might give you a few extra options if you are looking for them

Nah falls, reason he wants it is 'cause of its silence. Ask Pepper or Cheeky, they are deadly silent. New Ghille, Sniper, Mac11???? Yeah, there is an issue with stealth there.

You wouldn't get a Mk23 slide on a full size USP frame, the Mk23 is a good bit bigger than the USP .45.

You sure about that? The USP .45 is pretty big. Unless you're confusing the size with the USP Compact? I would have thought the sizes comparable although I will freely admit to perhaps being wrong on that score.

Well in length alone, the MK23 is 9.5'' long while a USP 45 full size is 7.8''. The USP 9 and 40 are a little shorter again.

SOCOM units perfare to use the USP 45 Tactical over the Mk23 as its lighter, smaller and gives about the same performance.

i bought the socom on the 10th of september from Eirsoft
since ive got it ive used everytime i skirmished.
    and its worth every cent(170)

ive been looking around for one for a good while and there isnt that much of a price difference if you include all the extras that must be payed
but some of the cheapist sites would have to be:
    Airguns.ie
airsoftwordltd(or something like that google it)
    guns and guys
    WGC
    ehobby

iam sure there a few other jap/chinese sites but for the sake of and extra 20-30euro difference depends on how much you get it for still cant beat being able to walk into a shop and have it in your hands right there and then and being able to bring it back if there is something wrong with it.

Are you sure coz I was looking at ASG website and the one I found was with fixed hopup. Again it could be that catalog is old. I guess someone who owns could tell exactly.

Yep it has an adjustable hopup but there are a few things to watch out for, I tried mine on green gas 2 weeks ago and it showed up as nearly 1.8J with a .25! Might be just mine but I'd strongly advise the use of 134A to keep it legal.

The other thing is that the "silencer" has a barrel extension built in which gives it a much better performance. If you chrono with the silencer attached it wll give you the true power output of the gun.
