A test of deductive reasoning

I'm looking for a somewhat established test of deductive reasoning preferably one that has good reliability and validity. I've looked for the deductive reasoning sections in the WAIS- R and the Stanford Binet but they're copyrighted so I can't get my hands on them. I'm looking to do a project in this area for my final year thesis. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe try the Buros test reviews?

Where are you studying? If its in a university then getting those tests and using them is no problem at all, the copyright is not an issue and the department certainly should have them.

The Watson Glaser has very good reliability and validity as far as I can remember. It's not free and is copyrighted but is probably one of the best known tests around.

An alternative is the Cornell Critical Thinking test which is also not free and is copyrighted.

It's not really my area so maybe there are other ones out there that are free and have good psychometric properties, but you are probably better off trying to go for one that is commonly used or is considered the industry standard as it helps in making your work and research more acceptable (and publishable).

What's the context in which you are you hoping to use a deductive reasoning test?

Hotspur is right, talk to your supervisor in college. There should be no problem in getting the tests. I know of a girl who used the WAIS-R in my class for her thesis. No problem in getting it.
