Hi, I know this has probably been asked millions of times...

How do you create a page in Wikipedia?

I want to create a page for a band but have no idea where to start? Are there templates available you can use? Do you need to be an established user of the site?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Search for the band. When you get the 'this article does not exist' message, follow the option to create one for it. No harm in registering either.

Thanks Ethernet. I didn't think it was that easy! :D

As I'm a very lazy person with limited HTML experience do you know if there are any templates you can copy and paste into the editing area. i.e. one with a layout for a band or similar?

I don't know of any specific templates as such but you could look at this or the source for the other articles to get the essentials of the wiki syntax.
