I'd love to know the background info on how McCain came to pick this liability for a running mate..

I wouldnt be surprised if the Dems have some sort of double agent in the McCain camp, steering the ship off course...

He obviously couldn't talk any other traditional right wing conservatives into the job, to shore up the base, at least nobody that wouldnt frighten off independents - then he decided to totally roll the dice on Palin
