The "value-added" IT security consultancy, expects WPA1 and WPA2 to be compromised by a basement hacker using a €30 8400GS GPU running those nasty Russians unpleasent password cracker.

If you own an internet cafe with WPA1, be extra vigilant.

Wifi attacks can be increased by a mesmerizing 10,000 percent (or 100x) using Nvidia GPU's

This means that current WPA1 + WPA2 BF attacks will improve from 150 passwords per second on a CPU to 15,000 per second using a GPU.

David states "firms can no longer rely on standards-based security to protect their data. As a result, we now advise clients using WiFi in their offices to move on up to a VPN encryption system as well"

The latest garbage to emerge from the security industry is that WPA1 and WPA2 are no longer suitable for Wireless communications - this time coming from the mouth of "well respected" David Hobson of GSS

The rigorous research is based on "Brute force decryption of the WPA and WPA2 systems using parallel processing has been on the theoretical possibilities horizon for some time - and presumably employed by relevant government agencies in extreme situations - but the use of the latest NVidia cards to speedup decryption on a standard PC is extremely worrying,"
