    That isn't fair,it is fine.

There is nothing really there though, all your local amenities besides primary school are in Balbriggan .

Not a kip at all - it's a nice, quiet place. Yes it only has one shop and one pub, but Balbriggan is a 5 minute drive away. I'd live there in a heartbeat.

    You probably mean the M1.
    It isn't near the M50.

Balrothery is a fine historical north county Dublin village, commonly referred to as Balrothery, Balrigggan whereas in fact Balrothery is older than Balbriggan.

As mentioned above it has a pub called The Balrothery Inn, and at the moment one small general shop. The pub has a modern lounge and an old style bar, and serves nice food. Recently beside the pub a number of shop units have been completed, a bookie has opened in one and the other will be open soon with various village type shops.

It has a secondary school which is well regarded locally, Balbriggan would be the town for secondary school, Balbriggan being a few minutes drive away.

Recreational wise you have Ardgillan minutes away, along with both Balbriggan Rugby Club and North County Cricket club based locally. There are also tennis courts.

The village itself is quiet and sleepy with good transport links - M1 two minutes away, train 5 minutes away, Bus Eireann service (45 minutes to Bus Aras).

There is a community website www.balrothery.com

Don't mind the couple of ignorant post above, you can clearly see by the posts these people aren't really someone you'd take opinion from.
